Below you will find Debbie Dale's retirement video. Debbie Dale was the heart and soul of the Cal State San Marcos Athletics department, but was unfortunately hit with terminal cancer in mid 2008. Mike Shannon (mlsstudios.com) created this video in her honor. Debbie appears near the end of the film.
Unfortunately, youtube appears to place my clip's audio track a bit out of sync with the video track so watching the higher resolution version can be a little more exciting!
This video Features Earth Wind and Fire's "September" song, Superman Return's audio score, coaches from the Cal State San Marcos Track teams and former athletes during Debbie's time at San Marcos.
I originally had the idea for this dance clip in the fall of 2005, unrelated to Debbie at the time. I wasn't able to find a good enough song until the end of 2006, filmed in the spring of 2007, forgot about the project for about a year, then started filming again in the summer of 2008 - then I heard about Debbie's condition two weeks before her retirement party in late august and decided to haul this together as best I could.
